In recognition of my contribution to teaching and regular research type work, I have managed to get my Hospital Princess of Wales Hospital as being deemed a ISAKOS Approved Teaching Center.
I also regularly host Consultants from the UK to come and observe the work undertaken at the Hospital. This is not possible without the help of the multi-disciplinary team in the hospital.
I am in the Visiting Surgeon Programme ( VSP) for Arthrex and Smith & Nephew.

I am an Honorary Clinical Teacher for medical students for Cardiff University.
I am an Assigned Educational Supervisor for the ST T&O registrars and Mti ( Medical Training Initiative) doctors at our hospital since 2012.
Student Selected Components (SSC’s) for the Cardiff School of Medicine. I have been regularly been accepting SSC MBBS Students from the School on a regular basis since 2008. This has led to regular presentations and the occasional publication.
Organising meetings:
I have been organising a Complex Knee Meeting called MENISCUS since 2012. This is a quarterly meeting for all Knee consultants in South Wales. This is attended by SpR’s, physiotherapists, radiologists and SCP’s. Complex cases are presented and discussed, with learning points for all attending including the patient.
PDF format of meeting is distributed to colleagues as a discussion document based on meetings held, as an aide memoire and learning document across South Wales.
