Having applied for and then being successful after national selection, we received a grant from the Health Foundation. Prof Paul Lee and myself then developed a innovative, web based platform to explain to patients and their relatives to understand the risks and implications of undergoing a hip or knee replacement.

The idea for this Consent Plus process came about after the Montgomery Ruling of Informed Consent by the Supreme Court in 2015.

This work has been presented at national and international meetings and has been received well.
